Dornoch Caravan and Camping Park is less then an hour's drive from Inverness - the Capital of the Scottish Highlands.
The caravan site is ideally situated on the north-east shore of the Dornoch Firth in Sutherland-shire. Located only 5 minutes from the main A9 trunk road, Dornoch is the perfect base for exploring the County of Sutherland and further afield throughout the Northern Highlands.
From Inverness along the A9:
Travelling to Dornoch is simple and is also a very enjoyable journey boasting glorious views of the true Highland landscape.
Leaving Inverness, take the A9 North across the Kessock Bridge leading to Thurso. The journey takes less than an hour, crossing over the Black Isle and the Cromarty Bridge - across the Cromarty Firth - and skirts around the towns of Alness, Invergordon and Tain. Around two miles past Tain, you cross another firth - the Dornoch Firth - by the Dornoch Firth Bridge. The Dornoch turnoff is now only 10 minutes or so along the road. Here, the A949 takes you directly into the Royal Burgh of Dornoch. Entering the town, drive straight ahead through the main street until you reach the town square. At the far end of the square, turn right and follow the road without turning off. At 400 yards or so you've reached your destination - Dornoch Caravan and Camping Park - We hope you've had an enjoyable drive - welcome!
